Adriana Calcanhotto
The daughter of a jazz and bossa nova drummer, born in Porto Alegre in 1965, she started out in the bars of her city in the mid 1980s. Enguiço came out in 1990. Cantada passed 250,000 copies and the children's record Adriana Partimpim won her a Latin Grammy in 2006. She has taught at the University of Coimbra.
