A gift we could not find anywhere
We are two French guys, and it all started with a birthday. We wanted to give something built around one particular album, the one that really matters to that person. A whole evening of searching, and nothing: poster shops always offer the same thirty sleeves, and the one we were after was not among them.
So we made it ourselves
The first print was for us. Then it struck us that the problem was not ours alone: a record you love is almost never a famous record, and a catalogue of thirty sleeves speaks to no one in particular.
So we came at it from the other end, covering music as a whole rather than a greatest-hits selection. Today Le Mur Sonore is more than 50,000 albums and more than 6,000 artists, from French rap to jazz, from rock to world music. As far as we know, it is the largest album print catalogue in the world. So there is a good chance yours is in it.
The chip that starts the music
Every frame carries an NFC chip, on the right, level with the artist's name. Hold your phone close and the album starts in the music app you already use, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music or YouTube Music. Nothing to install, no account to create with us, no code to line up. That gesture is the difference between a print you look at and a print you listen to.
Printed and framed in France
Every print is made to order, never held in stock. Printing, cutting and framing all happen in France, in a slim profile wooden frame, black or white, in four sizes. The full tracklist is printed under the sleeve, because an album is more than one image.
