A major voice of disco, the Boston singer took MacArthur Park to the top of the Billboard in 1978 and was the first woman to score three number ones within a single calendar year, in 1979. Bad Girls sold more than two million copies in the United States. Six Grammy Awards, and a posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
