New York band founded in 1976 by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. Le Freak remains one of the best-selling singles in Atlantic's history, and Good Times served as the basis for Rapper's Delight. Rodgers went on to produce Bowie, Madonna and Daft Punk. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
