Daniel Balavoine
Born in Alençon in 1952, Daniel Balavoine played Johnny Rockfort in Starmania in 1978. Sauver l'amour, released in 1985, sold 1,240,000 copies and L'Aziza passed a million. Committed to installing water pumps in Niger and Mali, he died in January 1986 in a helicopter crash, at 33.
