Cornershop
British independent rock band formed in 1991 by Tjinder Singh, his brother Avtar, David Chambers and Ben Ayres, between Leicester and Wolverhampton. The name plays on the stereotype of the Indian shopkeeper in England. Brimful of Asha, remixed by Norman Cook, gave them a number one in 1998.
