Laurent Voulzy
Born in Paris in 1948, he forms with Alain Souchon one of the most enduring writing partnerships in French song, each writing for the other since 1974. Rockollection, in 1977, runs eleven minutes and became an unexpected hit. Belle-Île-en-Mer, Marie-Galante and Le Pouvoir des fleurs have remained standards.
