Blondie
Debbie Harry and Chris Stein started the band in New York in 1974, in the wake of CBGB. Parallel Lines, in 1978, sold 20 million copies and turned new wave into mainstream music. Heart of Glass, Call Me, The Tide Is High and Rapture all went to number one in the United States. The band entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
