Barbara
Monique Serf, born in Paris in 1930 and died in 1997, wrote, composed and performed her own songs, which was rare for a woman of her generation. L'Aigle noir passed a million copies in 1970. Nantes and Göttingen, written in 1964 for Franco-German reconciliation, are among her most quoted lyrics.
