Detroit duo founded in 1997 by Jack White on guitar and Meg White on drums. Elephant took them to number one in the United Kingdom in 2003 and won Seven Nation Army the Grammy for best rock song. Six Grammy Awards in all. Split in 2011, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2025.
