The Wailers
The band was born in Kingston in 1963 around Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, and cut the albums Catch a Fire and Burnin' for Island in 1973. After Marley's death in 1981, bassist Aston Barrett revived the line-up and led it until 2016. His son succeeded him, and the album Evolution was nominated at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
