The Beach Boys
The three Wilson brothers, their cousin Mike Love and their friend Al Jardine founded the band in Hawthorne, California, in 1961. After the surf wave and a first number one with I Get Around in 1964, Brian Wilson wrote Pet Sounds and then Good Vibrations in 1966. More than 100 million albums sold, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
