Slayer
Founded in 1981 in Huntington Park, California, the quartet of Kerry King, Jeff Hanneman, Dave Lombardo and Tom Araya belongs to the big four of thrash metal, with Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. Reign in Blood, released in 1986, remains a benchmark of the genre. Five million records sold in the United States, two Grammy Awards, a farewell tour in 2019.
