Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe met in a London hi-fi shop in 1981. More than 100 million records sold, 42 songs in the British top 30 and four number ones: West End Girls, It's a Sin, Always on My Mind and Heart. Very, in 1993, remains their only chart-topping album. Guinness named them the best-selling British duo in 1999.
