Michel Legrand
Born in Bécon-les-Bruyères in 1932 and died in 2019, a pianist, arranger and composer of more than two hundred film scores. Three Oscars, one of them for The Windmills of Your Mind in 1969, and five Grammys. The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, sung throughout, remains his best known collaboration with Jacques Demy.
