Martinho da Vila
Martinho José Ferreira, born in 1938 in Duas Barras, in the state of Rio, joined the samba school Unidos de Vila Isabel in 1965 and owes his stage name to it. Brought to notice by the TV Record festivals in 1967 and 1968, he released his first album in 1969. Tá Delícia, Tá Gostoso passed a million copies in 1995. Four Latin Grammys were awarded to him between 2005 and 2023.
