Formed in Leicester in 1997 around Sergio Pizzorno and Tom Meighan. West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum went to the top of the British chart in 2009, followed by The Alchemist's Euphoria in 2022 and Happenings in 2024. Brit Award for best British group in 2010, twice best live act at the NME Awards, and headliners of the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on 29 June 2014.
