Henri Salvador
French singer-songwriter, 1917-2008, born in Cayenne. A jazz guitarist in the orchestras of the 1930s, he became a singer from 1948 and pursued comic songs and a crooner repertoire side by side. He was one of the first in France to own his own studio.
