Deep Purple
Founded in London in 1968, the band has sold more than 100 million records. Deep Purple in Rock came out in 1970, Machine Head in 1972, and Made in Japan is among the best-selling live albums in rock. The 1975 Guinness Book named them the loudest band in the world, after a concert at the Rainbow Theatre in London. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
