UB40
Formed in Birmingham in December 1978, the band took its name from the British unemployment benefit form. Signing Off came out in 1980, Labour of Love in 1983. Red Red Wine and (I Can't Help) Falling in Love with You went to number one in the United Kingdom and the United States alike. More than a hundred million records sold and fifty entries on the British chart.
