Band from Versailles formed in 1995, the first French band invited onto Saturday Night Live and then to play Madison Square Garden. Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix won the Grammy for best alternative album in 2010, a first for a French band. They closed the Paris Olympics in 2024.
