Mano Negra
Founded in 1987 in Sèvres around Manu Chao, the band fitted punk, rumba, ska and chanson onto the same record. Patchanka came out in 1988, Puta's Fever the following year and sold four hundred thousand copies in France. In 1992, the Cargo 92 tour took the troupe to Latin American ports aboard a cargo ship. Split in 1994, after Casa Babylon.
