Matthieu Chedid, born in 1971 in Boulogne-Billancourt, is the son of Louis Chedid and the grandson of the writer Andrée Chedid. Behind the M persona, he released Le Baptême in 1997, then Je dis aime, which sold more than 500,000 copies. Lettre infinie went to number one in 2019 and was certified platinum. Thirteen Victoires de la musique, a record shared with Alain Bashung.
