Born in Abidjan in 1980, Armand Okou is regarded as the rapper who popularised trap in France, starting with his work with Booba on Kalash in 2012. Or noir in 2013, Okou Gnakouri in 2016 and Dozo in 2017 are all certified double platinum. His concert at the Accor Arena in 2023 sold out in three minutes.
