Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, born in Medellín in 1972, first led the rock band Ekhymosis for ten years. Solo from 2000, he has sold more than 15 million records. A Dios le Pido topped the charts in twelve countries and Un Día Normal spent 92 weeks in the American top ten. Twenty-six Latin Grammy Awards and three Grammy Awards.
