Johnny Cash
The man in black, born in Arkansas in 1932, sold more than 90 million records. At Folsom Prison in 1968 and then At San Quentin in 1969 built his legend as the prison singer. American Recordings, in 1994, won him a Grammy and a second career. Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1980, he died in 2003.
