James Bay

Born in 1990 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, he took up the guitar at eleven after hearing Layla, then studied at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in Brighton. Chaos and the Calm entered at number one in the United Kingdom in 2015, double platinum, carried by Hold Back the River. Brit Award for best male artist in 2016 and three Grammy nominations.
