Freddie Mercury
Born Farrokh Bulsara in Zanzibar in 1946, the Queen singer released two solo albums. Mr. Bad Guy entered the British top 10 in 1985. Barcelona, recorded in 1988 with soprano Montserrat Caballé, produced a song that became the official anthem of the 1992 Olympics. His cover of The Great Pretender had reached number four in the United Kingdom. He died in November 1991, at 45.
