Dire Straits
Formed in London in 1977 around Mark Knopfler, the band has sold more than 120 million records. Brothers in Arms, in 1985, passed 30 million copies and became the first album to sell a million units on CD. Money for Nothing won them a Grammy in 1986. Induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
