Bon Iver
Justin Vernon recorded For Emma, Forever Ago alone in a Wisconsin cabin during the winter of 2006. The project's name comes from the French bon hiver. The next album won him the Grammys for best new artist and best alternative album in 2012. Exile, a duet with Taylor Swift, gave him his first Hot 100 top 10 entry.
