Aphex Twin
Richard D. James, born in Ireland in 1971 and raised in Cornwall, co-founded the Rephlex label in 1991 before signing to Warp the following year. Selected Ambient Works 85-92 and then Richard D. James Album defined what came to be called IDM. Come to Daddy and Windowlicker took him into the British top 40, and Syro won him a Grammy in 2015.
