Hanging a print without drilling: what actually holds

Clear adhesive hook on a white wall, supplied with every framed print

It is the first question we get, and often the last one before buying: do I have to drill? No, and here is why.

What comes with every framed print

Every order ships with its own hanging system. No drill to dig out, no wall plug to match: the frame arrives ready to hang. It is meant for rentals, for walls you would rather not damage, and for people who move their decor around.

Weight is what decides

A no-drill solution either holds or does not depending on weight. Our frames are slim profile wood, which keeps them light for their size. A 30×40 and a 50×70 do not call for the same support, and that is the point most people overlook: you pick your fixing for the format, not for the wall.

Preparing the wall, the one step that counts

An adhesive holds on a clean, dry, smooth surface. On chalky paint, on peeling wallpaper, or on a dusty wall, no system will hold, whatever it costs. Wipe it down, let it dry, and wait a few minutes after fitting before you hang.

Plasterboard, brick, concrete

Plasterboard is the most common in newer homes, and that is exactly where you want to avoid drilling: a hole in a plaster panel never quite fills back in. On brick or concrete, a no-drill fixing works too, as long as the surface is painted and smooth.

And if you would rather drill

Nothing stops you. The frame has a hook on the back and sits on a nail or a screw like any other picture. The difference is that you do not have to.
